Their destination is the Vacation International Sea Mountain Resort in Punaluu, on the big island of Hawaii. The resort’s amenities include four tennis courts, an outdoor pool, and its own 18-hole golf course. A Ski Trip to Whiteface Mountain in Upstate New York
With their last two Spring Breaks spent in warm and sunny locales, the O’Reilly family has decided to switch gears this year and experience a Mid-Winter break on the ski slopes. With the Adirondack Mountains just a day’s drive away, they can enjoy a quick getaway to Lake Placid Club Lodges, a Resort of International Distinction.
The site of the 1932 and 1980 Olympic Games, Lake Placid is one of the most popular winter-sports centers in the East, where Whiteface Mountain boasts some of the most challenging skiing. Diane and Jay are avid skiers, who introduced the girls to the sport at the age of 3. Now in their fifth year of skiing together, the family can easily handle any intermediate run or higher.
With the ski lifts just a short drive from the resort (and cross-country skiing is even closer), every day is filled with numerous runs down the mountain. Other activities the girls want to enjoy are ice skating, and catching a thrilling toboggan ride down the wintry slopes.

Spring Break in Colonial America
With so many historic places of interest located within a day’s drive of their home, Diane and Jay have the opportunity to take mini-vacations and explore a number of areas with ease. For the girls’ Spring Break, they decide on a mini road trip to Virginia, stopping first in Busch Gardens in Williamsburg for a day of fun rides before heading onto their stay at the Fairfield Williamsburg Patriots' Place, a Resort of International Distinction in the heart of Colonial America.
There they can discover the culture of our nation’s past amid the luxuries of modern resort living. Williamsburg, the foremost historic district in the United States, has scores of famous homes and buildings available for tours, with nearby stores and restaurants offering traditional fare. High on the girls’ list is seeing Jamestown, which they learned in school was America’s first permanent English settlement.

A Fall Escape to Atlantic City
Before heading into the busy final quarter of the year (and the upcoming Halloween bash) Diane and Jason plan their annual getaway to celebrate their 11th Anniversary. This year they choose the Fairfield Atlantic City at Skyline Tower, a Gold Crown Resort just a block away from the nearly five miles of the world-famous Boardwalk. Mostly deserted this time of year, the couple takes solace in the empty beaches, the surging surf, and the lonely cries of the seagulls.
When they are ready for nightlife, they make a date with Lady Luck at one of the dozen plush casinos, including Trump Taj Mahal and Caesers. Top-name entertainment is just minutes away as are local vineyards, Absecon Lighthouse, and the Noyes Museum. Plus, what would a trip to Atlantic City be without taking home a box full of salt water taffy to hand out to the trick-or-treaters back home?
